Will Casey Stoner continue to be a thorn in Rossi’s side?

I really hope it doesn't rain in Assen today. Much as I loved Donington and being home at the British Grand Prix, the weather diminished the excitement slightly, to the point where it was merely thrilling. And if we've been spoilt by some spectacular recent racing such as at Barcelona, last Sunday's results cast an interesting perspective on today's Dutch TT.

Last year the event was won by Nicky Hayden, but it was a famously gifted victory, which really should have been 25 points for Yamaha's Colin Edwards. The Texan led until the final turn, where he made a mistake and threw his opportunity of a maiden MotoGP victory into the straw bales. He still has not won a race, but he took a remarkable second place last Sunday ahead of his team-mate, Valentino Rossi, and looked to be back on form - maybe he'll duplicate that in Assen.
