Will Jorge Lorenzo triumph on his home track tomorrow?

Brad Pitt, that is, complete with small child on his shoulders, bouncing up and down on the pit wall at Mugello last Sunday as Valentino Rossi showed the rest of the field and his ecstatic fans that his return to form is here to stay. Few people doubt that Rossi ever lost it; he's just been getting his Yamaha and its Bridgestone tyres to suit each other and his riding style. At Mugello, Rossi, using the hardest compound tyres, cleared off in the same way as Casey Stoner did for most of last season. It was interesting, however, that Rossi declined to tease at the front as he has done in the past, surely a sign of how tough the competition is. |
